Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Maybe if Obama weren't such a liar the people would see his taxplan as it really is, raise taxes on all to pay for his assinine programs.

The neo-cons will probably say that the left leaning MSM edited the footage and made them all say things they didn't mean to say. They are like funny little puppys that have no clue what is going on.

The most expensive big ticket item in Barack
Obama's first budget won't be universal health
care or college, it will be the Barack Obama
Campaign Contribution Excise Tax, to repay all
those IOUs Obama wrote to buy his way into the
        Whitehouse. Raising three hundred million
dollars in campaign contributions doesn't make
Barack Obama an economic genius, it makes him
a con man. Anyone with a fifth grade education
        knows Obama doesn't stand a butterfly's chance
in a bat cave of delivering on ten percent of
all the crap he has promised voters.

How is Obama going to pay for universal health
care, and all those other pipe dreams with taxes
from people who don't have jobs? Obamaclaus can
cut all the taxes he wants, it ain't going to
mean spit to the unemployed. There's nothing
wrong with believing in Obamaclaus, but expecting
him to pay the overdue rent, the doctor, pick up
the groceries and refill the car isn't just
unrealistic, it's insane. Change? President Barack
Obama won't have Change for the vending machine.

What a complete and utter crock. Barack legally raised all of the money he's spending to get elected and to infer otherwise is a bald faced lie.

It is mathematically impossible to reduce taxes for 95% of the people when 40% of them are not paying taxes in the first place.  People who do not pay taxes already cannot have their taxes "cut".

On the other hand, they can be given money from other people.  In other words, welfare.

It's 95% of people who are already paying taxes. The people who aren't paying taxes aren't part of the percentage. DUH. Please use some common sense before you post.

          LOL Nice try there...

          From the Obama web page...

Cut taxes for 95 percent of workers and their families with a tax cut of $500 for workers or $1,000 for working couples.

Some workers do not pay taxes...take a look at the full Obama Plan and you will see it states that the 95% represents "150 million workers overall".

He does not say 95% of taxpayers.

How about you try reading before you post next time.  LOL

Russ -  Every person on every single payday get money taken out of their earnings that go to the state and federal government, things like payroll tax and social security tax - unless you get paid under the table (maybe these are the "non tax paying workers" you are trying to refer to??)

Yes, I have READ before I posted, he does not actually say the word "taxpayers" because you can infer that from the word "worker". You cannot give a tax cut to someone who doesn't pay taxes, it's completely illogical - that would be like giving someone their money back for something they never bought in the first place. And if you could, you should enlighten the rest of us on how that works. And if you're trying to allude to the fact that Obama's tax plan would be like welfare for these "working but non-tax paying" Americans, then you have a completely distorted view of what welfare really is, and the true purpose of Obama's tax plan (maybe you should further read his website to get a sense of what he's trying to do for working families).

You should also enlighten the rest of us how you can have a legal working job in the US and not pay taxes on your earnings, because if there is a job like that out there, I would certainly like to have it.

no longer - You really need to read the WSJ article and then take a really good look at the full Obama plan.   Let's go with his very first tax credit.  The Making Work Pay tax credit where a worker gets a tax credit of $500 or $1000 for a family.

Now, anyone who does not make at least a minimum amount of money, even though they have a job, they get all of their taxes back.  They pay no income tax whatsoever.  Refundable tax credits mean you get the tax credit even if you did not pay it in.

So let's say you get all of the $2,000 back that was taken from your check.  In addition to that, you will also be entitled to get the additional $500 (or $1000) "back" even though you did not pay that in.  So a person who put in $2000 gets $3000 back when they file their taxes. Bingo!  Someone who already does not pay taxes gets back money they did not even put in.

Honestly, this is not a hard thing to understand.  My college age daughter has a job and gets all of her taxes back.  Bam!  Legal working job, does not pay taxes.  By the way, almost al of Obama's tax credits are refundable so the "I get more money than I put in" bonanza can be even better! Unless you are the one footing the bill (which also means you are ineligible for the tax credits).

When you give someone money for nothing...that is called a gift.  When the government gives it to someone for nothing, they have to first take it from someone else.  Then the free money is called welfare.

RUSS- You can spin it any way you want to, but obviously his plan isn't for free handouts, Obama is encouraging people to help themselves, that is his platform. The breaks are for people who actually pay their taxes and don't get them back. And even in the off chance it is a "free handout", it's really so inconceivable to help somebody who is struggling? There are actually people in this country who care about helping people other than themselves. If you don't want to thats fine, but some of us care about the greater good of the country. Call it socialism, whatever you want to who cares if in the end it makes this country a better place? Or would you rather have everyone around you suffer while you and the rich go untouched?

I've said all I've needed to say between the posts I've put up. If you don't agree with me that's fine, but do not try to belittle me and say I don't understand or that I don't read - I actually do both quite well.

Wow.  Just read the plan and you will see.  It actually does give money back to people who do not pay taxes in the first place.  It is no spin.  Whether or not that is welfare is a different discussion but you can't really discuss something with another person if they do not really understand the facts in the first place.

I apologize though.  I was not trying to belittle you.
